Toy Story Lego, all the sets:

the third set is called ´Construct-a-Buzz´ the forth ´Construct-a-Zurg´. Needless to say that they are totally awesome.

The only set i probably won´t get is the last one. It seems a bit overpriced with 50 USD. All the other sets are on my personal must-have-list. And owning them makes me more complete...

:)

^I agree. They don't even look like Lego. You can get regular figures of those guys just as big as that, or bigger anyway. Cheaper, too. Haha.

But then you wouldn´t have Lego Toy Story... And what would be the point in not having it?

Maybe some other company does it cheaper. Maybe the guys from OGLE can do it.

Hahah. Who´s laughing now...

new minifigure collectibles in 2010!

Of course you can´t see which figurine you have until you bought it and opened the box. so hopefully i don´t have to buy hundreds of boxes to get my favorites (Ninja, Mexican Wrestler, Zombie and 50ies robotman)

Image

When the time comes you all should join in buying those because than we can trade!

:)

They're cute, but mostly generic, which doesn't interest me. (especially after doing hundreds of customs on the computer and wishing they were real)

i had to buy this small box of the new atlantis lego series. the diver was worth the six bucks alone. fun thing about these new age lego figurines with helmets: they often have two faces. my diver has one ´indiana jones grin´ face and one ´i shit in my pants´ face.

Image

now i need to get me one of those neat shark lego men...

:-)

Not to be an old codger or anything, but, still: LEGO was better back in the day, when the sets and figures were nice, simple, and colorful. They had class. If I wanted complicated, minutely detailed toys and weapons I'd get into every other darn action figure/war toy out there.

Those were the days. Sigh... ;)

Space Police was great, but I much preferred the blue, black and red color scheme of the first series.

Blacktron was also awesome!

i´m absolutely with you on the old school lego. i have some kits of the 79 space lego series and it is awesome. i just counted through the space men and i can proudly say that i have 12 red ones, 11 white ones, three yellow ones and a blue one.

i just keep an open mind regarding new lego stuff (since i got into the lego shit again) and i admire the crazy new parts that were unthinkable when i was a child.

here are my vintage lego people and my wife truly hates that i pulled them out and put them on the shelf.

Image

and GAD: this spaceship is totally awesome..!

Nope, just found it in a search for space police stuff. Here's a classic Cylon Raider (http://retardmedia.com/2007/10/19/class ... on-raider/) and a Viper (http://www.naughtynathan.co.uk/?p=36) There are a TON of Lego Vipers out there.

The only Lego BSG I've done is this:

I think I have at least one of all of those guys.

I should put all my Lego guys together in a big group sometime. That would be fun. :)

That's pretty schway! I still need to group all my figures together sometime, too.

I keep doing my pixel Lego guys, though! Just finished one of The Shockmaster a little while ago, using a stormtrooper and Zangief as the base[s].

yep. that video is awesome.

those big lego men ripplin posted could be awesome too if they would have gotten the heads right.

i found a bag with my old toys on the attic. see the comparison: star wars people old (i´m talking about the first figurines from end of 70s/beginning of 80s to star wars people new (all made of wonderful legoness)

what do you think?

I used to be nuts over lego when i was a kid. It took up the majority of my free time. There was so much i had to spread it out all over the floor to find the right pieces, you couldnt walk around. I have fond memories of looking for those pieces for hours then standing up to pick off the pieces that stuck onto my legs.

Sadly this year i gave all but a lone box away while moving :-( it was all too much to haul around.

And i agree with gaith, the older sets had class.

Yeah, I was nuts on Lego when I was a kid too. But, being a kid and all, many pieces were lost, so most of my sets aren't full and all. Although, not only I have the whole Lego Western set (well, the first "Season" one, let's call it, before the Indians) I don't think I've lost anything from it. Well, a few gold pieces and guns max, not more.

But. But. I WANT BLACK SEAS BARRACUDA! Man, I even asked to give me it as a present for my 18-th birthday. Instead, I got a new video card, awesome speakers, a graphic pen-tablet and a 1TB-hard (which as of a few days ago is toast). And no BLACK SEAS BARRACUDA!!!! :-(

yeah that baracuda set looks sweet. had several like it. still tho, you got awesome speakers. never can have too many of those  . my sets never stayed intact for more than a week before being canibalized into something else entirely and rarely got reassembled per the instructions :-?
